
Sweet ‘N Spicy Chicken Wings

- 500 grams Chicken Wings
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ¾ cup MAYA All-Purpose Flour
- ¼ cup MAYA Cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- Enough oil for frying
Sauce:
- ¼ – 1/3 cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup barbecue marinade
- ½ cup sweet and chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1-2 teaspoon hot chili sauce
- Spring onions chopped (garnish (optional))
- Season chicken wings with salt, pepper, and chili powder. Set aside in a bowl, combine together flour, cornstarch, chili powder, and pepper to create a dry mixture. Dredge the seasoned chicken wings into the dry mixture then deep-fry until golden brown. Set aside.
- In another pan, mix together all ingredients for sauce and bring to a boil then simmer until it reduced a bit.
- Toss all fried chicken wings into the sauce. Then sprinkle spring onions on top right before serving.
