
Revolutionary Cookies

For the cookies:
- ½ cup butter (softened )
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 1 piece egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 to 2 ½ cups Maya All-Purpose Four
For the icing:
- 4 teaspoons Ovasil ((egg white powder) )
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 2 ½ cups powdered sugar
Prepare the cookies:
- In a bowl, cream the butter and both sugars together using a wooden spoon until fluffy.
- Add the egg and the vanilla and mix evenly.
- Add the salt and baking powder and mix again.
- Add the flour, 1 cup at a time until the dough holds together and no longer sticks on the side of the bowl.
- Roll out into ¼ of an inch using a rolling pin and cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters.
- Bake at 350⁰F oven temperature for about 10 minutes. Cool completely before putting decorative icing.
Prepare the icing:
- Mix ovasil and water in a mixer bowl. Let it bloom for about 3-5 minutes.
- Beat on high speed until stiff peaks form.
- Add powdered sugar one cup at a time and mix on medium just until stiff peak thick.
- Color as desired. Water can also be added to thin the icing.
