Taco Salad

Main:

  • 1 small head romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 1 piece medium white onion, (chopped )
  • 3 pieces ripe tomatoes, (chopped )
  • 2 tablespoons red kidney beans
  • 3 tablespoons ground Mexican beef
  • 3 tablespoons cheddar cheese
  • 3 tablespoons Chippy

Dressing:

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper (to taste )

Mexican Beef:

  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced )
  • 1 small onion (chopped )
  • 1/4 kilo ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon taco powder

Main:

  1. Arrange the lettuce as base for the salad.
  2. Add the toppings, onion, tomatoes, kidney beans, Mexican beef, cheddar cheese and top with Chippy.
  3. Drizzle the dressing before serving.

Dressing:

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl the set aside in the refrigerator before serving.

Mexican Beef:

  1. Sauté the garlic and onions in a preheated pan with cooking oil.
  2. Add the beef and cook until it changes color, then season with taco powder. Cook for 5 minutes and set aside.
