Okonomiyaki

Batter:

  • 200 grams MAYA All-Purpose Flour
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 packet Japanese dashi powder
  • 2 pieces eggs

Meat:

  • crab sticks and bacon
  • half cabbage (shredded)

Topping:

  • Japanese sauce (otafuku)
  • dried fish flakes (katsuboshi)
  • Japanese mayonnaise
  • dried seaweed flakes
  1. In a bowl, mix all batter ingredients. Fold in shredded cabbage and desired meat.
  2. Put some oil onto a frying pan, then pour about ½ cup of the mixed batter and then top the bacon. Cook for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Flip and cook another few minutes just same as you make a pancake.
  4. Place the okonomiyaki on a plate, top with sauce and mayonnaise then sprinkle with fish flakes and seaweed flakes
  5. Serve.

Yield: 4 to 6 servings
