
Baked Apple Pancake Bars

- 1 piece large Fuji apple, (peeled and core removed )
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 pack MAYA Whole Wheat Pancake Mix 400g
- 3 tablespoons butter (melted )
- 1 cup milk
- 2 pieces egg
- Preheat oven to 350⁰F/177⁰C. Line 9 inch square pan with baking sheet. Set aside.
- Cube the apple and put in a medium size pot. Add water, cinnamon and honey. Bring to boil in medium heat. Cover pot with cut wax paper. Poach apple for 30 minutes.
- Remove poached apple from the sauce and reduce the sauce until it thickens. Set aside.
- In a clean bowl, mix pancake premix, butter, milk and egg. Mix well.
- Add poached apple, cut and fold.
- Transfer the apple pancake mixture to the prepared square pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Remove baked apple pancake and let it cool. Cut it into bars, pour the reduced apple sauce, and serve.
