
Pan Seared Tuna with Teriyaki Glaze

- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 piece lemon (juiced )
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt and pepper (to taste )
- 1 pack tuna steak
Teriyaki glaze:
- 1/4 cup sake
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons water
- 1 tablespoon MAYA Cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
For marinade:
- In a clean bowl, mix oyster sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice, sugar, and pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
- Marinate tuna steak for 1 to 2 hours.
- After marinating the tuna, brush it with oil to retain its moistness.
- Sear tuna in a medium size pan, until outside part of the tuna is cooked but not all the way thru.
- Brush pan seared tuna with teriyaki glaze. Serve.
For teriyaki glaze:
- In a medium size pot, add sake, brown sugar, soy sauce, and 2 teaspoons of water. Let it boil.
- Add cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoon of water to thicken the glaze.
- Reduce the teriyaki glaze until it thickens. Set aside.
